From April 27 to May 3, we’re setting off en route vers le bénévolat !
In Quebec, volunteering carves out a meaningful path that connects us, weaving a society rooted in solidarity and shared purpose. No matter where we stand, everyone is invited to join the journey. The more of us who travel this road together, the more rewarding the journey becomes enriched by our collective experiences and strengthened by the power of community. Volunteering is an opportunity to grow by reaching out to others.
It’s about using your strengths, stepping out of your comfort zone, and making real, human connections along the way. You come out the other side transformed more connected, more grounded, and always moving forward.
Like any great adventure, you gain just as much as you give. En route vers le bénévolat is also about creating a journey that’s safe, inclusive, and respectful for everyone. That’s why National Volunteer Week is a time for organizations, too a chance to reflect on how they can build trusting, supportive relationships between volunteers and those they serve.
To support this goal, the FCABQ offers a free and streamlined Judicial Record Check Program (VAJ) for volunteers involved with Quebec’s community organizations. Available at jebenevole.ca, these checks aren’t a barrier they’re a tool for building trust and creating safe spaces where solidarity can grow and thrive.
To all volunteers, organizations, and anyone eager to be part of something bigger now is the time. En route vers le bénévolat!
